Command and Control Support in a Joint Environment

This course serves to provide training, advanced and continuous training for (reserve) field-grade officers and medical field-grade officers selected or earmarked for staff assignments in Primary Staff Function 6. The course focuses on current aspects pertaining to command and control support with the aim of achieving a holistic understanding of command and control support in the armed forces. It also looks into the prospects for further development of armed forces command and control support, covering topics such as capabilities for network-enabled operations. The course deals with the basic structures of armed forces command and control support, and covers subjects such as the Bundeswehr IT system and special aspects of command and control support in the specific services or military organizational areas.

Training Objective

The seminar participants will be enabled to understand command and control support as a holistic task in a joint context and to bring this knowledge to bear when performing their tasks.
